Calvary Chapel Upland's Women's Ministry is founded on Titus 2:3-5 "the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things--that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed."
It is our vision and purpose to lead our women in developing a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible study, prayer, fellowship, worship, and service.
We desire to come alongside women to uplift, equip, and encourage each woman in her walk with the Lord through the several different ministries we provide. We offer teas, brunches, mother/daughter events, an annual women's retreat, and other events to encourage body life among our sisters in Christ, and as opportunities to reach out to our community.
In accordance with our theme verse, we promote godly living through Titus 2 Seminars. This is a platform for the Scripture to be lived out among our women. Older women train and teach the younger women how to walk with Jesus through example. The Titus 2 Seminars are very practical workshops where we learn from one another according to personal gifts, talents, and strengths. In addition, during the summer months, we have evenings of worship, Bible study, fellowship, and dessert called Heart to Heart. These take place the last Tuesday of June, July, and August.
Under the umbrella of the Women's Ministry exist many opportunities to get involved and become a serving member of the body of Christ. We have a Women's Worship Team that leads us to the throne of God as they minister at various events. Our Women's Drama Team performs at special events in order to offer encouragement through the enactment of real life situations to which many women can relate. Our Brunch Ministry hosts our many events and is involved with organizing, decorating, sometimes cooking and baking, and serving the women of Calvary Chapel Upland.
We pray that we offer you an opportunity to get involved, and an arena to better know our God and Savior Jesus Christ. To HIM be the glory!
